All operators active in wine production, bottling of wine products, marketing of wine products before the wine-making stage and marketing of bottled wines, with the exception of retail businesses, must register in the register of enterprises in the wine sector.
Registration is done electronically through the corresponding digital service of the Ministry of Culture.
Compulsory declarations of grapevine products
Production declaration
All natural or legal persons, including cooperative wineries, producing wine and/or must for commercial purposes or having it produced on their behalf are obliged to submit a production declaration during the wine year concerned.
The production declaration shall be submitted electronically starting on 1 October of each current year and ending on 15 January of the following year.

Processing/Marketing Statement
Winegrowers, producers and traders of grapes, grape juice and grape must who, before the dates laid down for the submission of production and harvest declarations, have treated or marketed grapevine products intended for wine production shall be required to submit a treatment or marketing declaration in respect of the wine year during which the treatment or disposal took place on the market.
Declarations shall be submitted electronically no later than 10 December of each year.
Stock declaration
All wine producers, processors, bottlers and traders holding stocks – bottled or not – are required to submit each year a declaration of stocks of wine and must available on 31 July, regardless of the vintage year
In the following cases of non-submission of mandatory declarations within the prescribed deadlines, penalties arise in the form of a financial fine and are imposed in accordance with the procedures set out in Law 4235/2014:
a) cases where the deadline for submission of the declaration is exceeded by a maximum of 15 working days, where the amount of the fine is calculated in accordance with Table 1.
b) cases where the declaration has not been submitted by the liable party, where the amount of the fine is calculated in accordance with Table 2.

in addition to the penalties referred to in Table 2, the undertakings/producers concerned who do not submit the compulsory declarations shall not benefit from the various benefits of the measure of investments in wine-making enterprises for the financial year following the year of submission of their application
